 |
|
Picked up a bandit 600 last night from Pete - who's an awesome bloke. Very freindly & totally honest!
Got the bike home & it's leaking brake fluid out of the little breather vents in the cap when its on sidestand. Am i right to assume the rubber that goes underneath said cap is fubar'd (even though it looks okay) or is there some kind of witchcraft going on.
It's making my head hurt a little.
Edit;
I've looked on ebay and found a photo of the diaphragm & its "guide"
https://i.ebayimg.com/t/1996-SUZUKI-GSF600-FRONT-BRAKE-MASTER-CYLINDER-DIAPHRAGM-GUIDE-/00/s/OTYwWDEyODA=/$T2eC16NHJGkE9no8gGLyBQN9RyuJwg~~60_57.JPG
Inside my m/c it has the diaphragm & the metal cap directly on top of it. Should i have one of theese guide pieces? ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

That's not Paddy's old bike - his was a Mk2.
Sorry to see that, you should have phoned me as I have a Mk2 master cylinder here that might have the part in it. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Bugger!
2nd time now
Well it was only £6, im assuming it was one of the things the previous owner messed with. Either way, when you buy a bike that cheap you expect to have a few little teething problems. Gotta change a dust seal on the forks & possibly adjust the clutch cable depending on how it rides. Cant insure it till the 20th of feb anyway, so i'll spend the time making sure it's all spot on ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.
