Hi
I have had my Suzuki Marauder 125 serviced recently and although it is running and starting a lot better I can hear what I think are the tappets all the time now.
Does anyone know what the gaps should be set at. There are no manuals for this bike I can find
As its my first I would like to get it right without damaging it (there isn't a mark or a dent on it). Plus once I pass my DAS I want to trade it in for its big brother.

I have seen these manuals before but my bike is an 06 which these manuals dont cover. Do you think it'll be the same specs? And I take it I'll be looking at the GZ ???

It's still the screw and locknut tappets on those isn't it? if so if it's not too loud forget it. It's when they go quiet you have to worry, the recent service has probably quietened the bike a bit and you can hear them more, they should sound like someone tapping away lightly on a typewriter. Check your header bolts to make sure it's not the header which can make a tapping noise if it's a bit loose.

The GZ does need tappets doing quite regularly.
Mine were way out and it was noticeably loud.

I have heard that they need checking reguarly as well, but thought this was just the dealer trying for more money by putting up the service costs.
I would love to start servicing it myself but without a manual I dont know where to start. And so far there isn't a manual specific to this bike.
the manuals suggested above end a year before this bike was registered and I dont know if my Marauder is a GZ, GS, DN or what.
Think I just might live with it until i get the big brother after passing my test (hopefully)

Are you SURE it is tappets? A blowing downpipe gasket sounds just the same and no amount of tappet measuring and adjusting sorts it out. Experience talking.
