Hi

What spark plug are you using? Is the bike derestricted? How are you riding the bike (round town a lot)?

Honda specify a different plug if the bike is being used for lots of high speed runs, but that will foul more easily at low speed.

All the best

Keith

There could be an air leak somewhere allong the line, if not enough air is getting to the air fuel mix you will get fouled plugs, if you get some wd40 (with the tube bit on) and spray into joins on your inlet side, if the revs rise then you know there is a leak!

It could also be down to your plugs not giveing off a good enough spark, if they are gapped properly and new then the leaves your ignition system, coils or HT leads, ht leads are not all that much money so i'd try them second...

Of course your fueling might be allll wrong, but i'm sure any competant mechanic would have thought of that (unless of course your buying spark plugs from them Razz )

theres probably allot of other things it could be but i'd try them for starters... (i'm haveing a similar thing myself, but not as extreme)

I was needing to replace plugs on my TZR every three days Shocked Turned out that the 2-stroke oil pump had jammed on full and needed replacing.
Just yet another possibility for you to think about Very Happy

Could be loads of dodgy plugs. I had four out of six NGK plugs go bad on me this summer.

https://www.dansmc.com/sparkplugs1.htm has the answer.

What does your spark plug look like compared to this lot?

are you losing any gearbox oil?
The crank seals can go on the gearbox side and leak oil into the crancase from the gearbox, this soon fouls a plug up and smokes like hell

I had the same on my RG125. Went through 3 spark plugs in a month (usually on the way to work, halfway there, a 10 mile trip!!). Needless to say I was pissed.

I found out that the air/oil mixture was too rich. The oil pump needed turned down, but I didnt fancy doing that myself so took it to a garage (who also told me my sprocket carrier bearings and wheel bearings were gone). They sorted it out for me but the next week it happened again.

Bought a manual for a tenner and found that it had a hint to buy a colder spark plug. Worked a treat!!!

My plugs havent fouled since...and that was like 6 weeks ago.

Best find out man otherwise you'll be buying spark plugs every week!!!
