If you are struggling with a CBR 600. You will need steroids for Dull's Vill.
Not a bad bike. Douse what it say's on the tin. And goes for ever.

Ok so let me start by saying that Deaville is only as dull as you want it to be....if you want to be in triple figures in every gear and tear up and down the country at rocket speed and seeing nothing else but the vanishing point all the time then maybe she is not for you. I don't know about the 700 but by all reports she looks a good machine, I can only comment on the 650, I own one Xreg, and I love it, my wife has also commented that it's very comfy for a pillion, although she slides forward somtimes, might be me braking to hard forgeting she is there hehe, the 650, and I would say the 700 as well, is abit on the heavy side for manhandling about but you get used to it, on the road though she is a joy to ride, got shaft drive and good all round weather protection, I get on average about 190 - 220 miles to its 19.5 litre tank, a lot less if I really max out every gear, don't do that to often though cause I like my license and it cost a plenty to get it. We toured 7 days around Cornwall, loved every minute of it, toured a lot of the Highlands, where we live, and are now planing an Island hopping tour around the West coast down to the central belt of Scotland, I digress a bit there, If you do get one a good investment would be the large pannier lids which double you capacity, and the 700 has a through compartment which I'm told can easily hold a tent ect.
Hope all the above is usefull to you, oh forgot to mention the engine is sound, I know some have faults wiith rectifiers ect, but so far touch wood I have'nt had any mechanicl probs to speak off, and I ride in all weathers and road condition, anyway good luck to ____________________ First bike R reg Suzuki 125 GT twin in 1978:

Thanks For all the feedback..
Its all Greatly appreciated..
Right then.. weight and the CBR.. ok I stated in opening post, I struggle a little with the weight of the CBR 600.. ok elaboration maybe.. I ONLY struggle when pushing and turning to a lock whilst pushing.. the weight bares a lot of pressure on my wrists and only that is the problem.. general pushing around is no issue either is the riding of it. I furthermore consider it to be the lowness of the handlebars too but that could be phsycological lol.., dunno.. not overly concearned of the weight..
Don't mind Pepping down the Horsepower as a new rider, though I do love the torque the CBR has to offer.
so all in all its a bike that goes on and on.. (reminds me of the zanusie adverts?) on and on and on . maybe scotch Tape's lol, a joy to ride, if you want to take in the scenery im wanting something a little more upright on the seating position too so this MIGHT just be whats needed.. Also been looking at the Kawasaki now er-6f Love the look of that too however not the same style I like from the Honda.. im guessing the "dullville" is likely to be more stable of a bike than the 6F, due to its size difference.. then again the 6F im guessing is somewhat lighter.. hmmm choices choices..
Thanks all. ____________________ CBT passed 22/01/2012 Theory Test Passed 14/04/12

Been a while since looking at this, and just thought i'd come back and update everybody with what actually happened.
Well the Dueville went out of the window when my partner noticed a lovely looking Kawasaki, on Ebay at about the right price.. ***BARGAIN ALERT***
anyway, we were just scanning pages, looking at different bikes that might be suitable other than a dueville. and up popped this lovely silver Kawasaki ZR7s 2003 plate, with Top Box and racking..
How much I hear???
well heres the fun part..
listed for £1550 for a 2003 plate.. very reasonable
edited his listing down to £1400 with edit of Wife says this bike MUST go this Week........ AHA!!!!!! Idea.. Mobile phone number supplied.. and £1250 in my hand from the CBR sale earlier that day. LOLZ can ya see whats coming.. ??? Can ya ... can ya???
Text message this guy, (baring in mind he now edited the post saying its gotta go this week, and already dropped price by £100)
with the following.. (Still got it on my phone hahah.. )
12 May2013, 13:02
Hi there, just seen your Kwak on eBay, Wondering if you'd take £1250. Got Cash now as just sold my CBR600 Can come collect pretty much IMMIEDIATELY from Coventry. Thought I'd run it by you.
Thanks.
well sent it and waited..
Reply came back not too long later. with this
"Would take £1300 but not back home till about 5 today as down matlock"
WOOHOOO.. bargain hunter success.. wasting no time I replied with (again Quoted)
"Ok. A verbal handshake on text. Done Deal, gis address and i'll plan to arrive around 5pm with cash. If all agreed?"
to which gave the response of his address in Norton Canes.
Very happy with the purchase, well looked after, no dents scratches scuffs marks ect.... runs well alarm and immobilizer all fairings as they should be with aftermarket belly pan... (doesn't match the rest of the bike at least.. bikes Silver belly pan's Grey but blends in ok.
so there we have it.. that today is now what im riding around on.. have to laugh now though as the misses now says its boring following me on the Kwak in comparison to the CBR600f, on her Kwak 500 GPZ lols.. have to admit boring in comparison to the CBR but a real pleasure to ride due to its comfortable seat and position, doesn't actually make you feel like you want to turn every ounce of HP out of it.. unlike the CBR thrill seeker it isn't,, pleasurable and comfortable it is.. certainly noticing my surroundings more..
But to bag a 2003 plate, Kawasaki ZR7s for £1300 I personally think I grabbed a bargain. ____________________ CBT passed 22/01/2012 Theory Test Passed 14/04/12

Looks like a nice buy to me. Nothing wrong with the clocks. That sub-frame though ... ____________________ Licence: Nov 2012, Bikes: Suzuki GN125, Moto Guzzi Strada 750, Triumph Sprint ST 955i x 2
