Does anyone know of any places in London preferably in south east London that are able to shrink my exhaust link pipes the part which connects into the exhaust can.
The length that needs shortening is only 4cm and requires a shrink of 2-3 millilitres so that it can slip in the exhaust

I have done some Google searches and all the places I have tried have been very unhelpful and utter pricks as the worst was Solid fabrications in Brixton who had the cheek to say its not worth his while as his exhausts systems cost £500+

The work I require doing literally take less than 5 mins as I have had it done and watched them do it in front of me but unfortunately that shop has shut down.
It was located in Battersea and they used to make custom exhaust systems.

Link pipes just need a 4 cuts 4cm long then put in the machine and then squeezed I could do it my dam self if I had the tools and equipment

I would but it would take me 6 months to build up the muscle required to hacksaw through them then have a strong vice like grip to shrink the link pipes by about 3 mill with my bear hands

Would probably be cheaper just to buy the right link pipe.

You should be able to do it easy with bear hands!

Or did you mean bare hands?

the diameter currently is 5.4cm and i need to reduce it to about 5.1cm so it can slip inside the exhausts.

Ok what happened was I saw a pair of exhausts on ebay for an R1 04-06 model and bought them for dead cheap so I knew I would have to get link pipes, as my new bike is an 08 R1
Got the link pipes from MTC exhausts for a very cheap price (they were very helpful as sent them to me next day!) but I gave them the wrong measurement of where the link pipe goes into the exhaust can by a few mill.

Its more hassle to send them back as they did exactly what I asked them and its my cock up but it’s a real easy work around.

But all the exhaust places ive called have been unhelpful as it’s a job only worth £10 at the most as it’s a less than 5 minute job to do to reduce the link pipe size

If I could be bothered to name and shame them for their unhelpfulness I would but I just wanna find someone who can do it

If I had an angle grinder I would do the job myself as I wanna fit the cans to my new 08 R1 so I can then ride it to Plymouth and have the ECU flashed but it seems I prob wont get this done till next weekend o well………..
