Check THIS one out. (Leg and/or shoe unrelated). DL650 V-strom. Bloke was pootling along, minding his own business when his front wheel flicks up an adjustable spanner which lands perfectly between his frame and right hand engine casing, splitting it open and chucking out the oil. Luckily, it didn't damage the crankcase much, only a very slight mark on the gasket mating surface so he only needs a new engine casing.

A closer look:

After the spanner was removed:

Personally, the worst I've had is a stone hitting my visor which makes a HELL of a noise. That's why I wear a full face lid. It would have left a mark at least. Smile

Whilst behind a Renault gt5 going at fast mph , his back wheel flicked up a trainer (shoe).
It hit me square in the chest , hitting me so hard I ended up on the pillion part of the seat Shocked , but still holding on to the handlebars Smile .

And just a few weeks ago I hit a rabbit full on at fast mph.
covered the whole front of the bike in blood, fur, and ears!
Brake calipers don`t work so well with bits of rabbit in them Smile
It cost me a new set of fork seals.

Biggest thing, cars etc not included . . .a female hooman being. Confused

Walked out without looking from a row of stationary traffic as I was rolling down the outside, up to some lights.

Decked her like Tyson . . Thumbs Up , bent my N/S peg hanger quite badly. Tough leg that old bird had. Laughing

A deer, a shovel that fell off a lorry in front of me. Killed the deer, rode over the shovel. I must stress this was two separate occasions not a bad day (about 25 years apart).

I was in a car as a passenger when a bottle jack left a foreign HGV and proceeded to bounce down the motorway towards us. It was all over the place like a rugby ball, driver managed to miss it, the wheels going either side.

It punched a hole in the sump, the car behind was not so lucky, that lost a wheel and crashed onto the hard shoulder.

We managed to stop on the hard shoulder, a lot of oil trailed out behind. Only needed a new sump pan luckily.

Does that count? I've had that exact same thing, plus a young girl on a zebra crossing (I KD'd around a crossroads, she was hooning across on a bicycle). Both in Japan.

I once got hit quite gently on the knee by a small metal object while honking up the M74.

I remember thinking at the time that whatever it was didn't hurt much considering the speed I was doing.

All was revealed as I reached the top of my exit slip still doing mumblemumble mph. It turns out it was the back bit of the master cylinder handlebar clamp which I'd moved the previous day and hadn't nipped up properly. Straightlined the roundabout at the top of the sliproad while shitting my pants.

Hit a bird once at the TT and splattered it all over my new Arai, but the best one was today when I hit my own car and scratched it.

A pigeon that bounced off my head and a squirrel I run over were the biggest ones I can think of Thinking

I try not to hit shit on a regular basis.

EDIT: I hit the car once. Didn't come off or anything, just thought I loved the colour so I took some paint off the bumper with my foot as it was pulling out Laughing

I've never personally hit /been hit anything, apart from the odd family of flies.
However, my second cousin got hit by a loose man hole cover, which got flicked up and hit him square on. Damn near killed him, he was in a coma for weeks. The poor sod didn't have much luck that year as this happened his first ride out after recovering from an accident which broke his leg in two places. Rolling Eyes

Feck, that's grim. How on earth did a manhole cover get propelled into him? As per others, only been hit by various sized bugs and stuff. Had one hit me in the face the other day which made quite a big yellow splat.

I also got hit on my lower eyelid about a year back when doing 50-ish without my visor down. Definitely taught me a lesson. Been hit by something solid in the chest before on a motorway but had no idea what it was as it was at night.

Seagull got me a few years back. Kept thinking it would veer off and when it didn't I nearly got down behind my screen in time but it clipped the top of my lid. Visor always leaked rain afterwards.

Nearly hit by a fox on the M8. Was on the outside lane and a car on the other side must have hit it. Came over the reservation and just missed. Scared the bejeebus out me.
