I'm looking at the Kriega US30 for a trip to Norway. Does anyone have one of these and can attest to their practicality? I'm hoping to fit my laptop, clothing and toiletries in there for 3 or 4 days.

I have the US20, use it for laptop, work trousers, etc. every week. It straps on pretty easily and securely and overall I'm happy with it. Never had anything inside get wet.

A top box would be quicker to unlock, drop stuff in, lock, ride off than strapping on the bag, but not much. You can also leave a top box on while paying for fuel, stopping for a slash, etc, whereas a tailpack is entirely stealable. Comes with a shoulder strap, so not impossible to carry around. Top box considerably more ££££ though.

Thanks for the response. I admit the top boxes would be more practical but they really don't do much to help the aesthetics of a bike.

Anyway, the US30 should be adequate for a short trip in that case.

It's hard to gauge what will fit inside the US20/30, but you can rest assured they can handle alot more than they look.
Because you don't plan on carrying 30 litres of water, the capacity information I found was abit useless in real life terms Laughing

If you tell me what you're hoping to carry, I'll try and post some photos of me packing it into my US20 Thumbs Up

Fine, substitute 5 pairs jeans for one superduperpacklightcampingtrouser option and halve the socks and underoos.
