Sad

I have a 1993 NSR 125 R and it only goes about 55mph.

Why could this be and does anyone have any ideas.

It has only doe 10k miles so the engine is immaculate as is the bike itself.

HHHEEELLLPPPP MMMEEEEEE!!!!11

Hi

Well, assuming all the other suggestions are baseless, then how does the bike feel. Is it slow at all revs? What gear is it in and what is it revving to at 55mph? Can the bike easily be pushed (ie, the brakes arent binding)? Does the bike get to this speed consistantly, or is it sometimes quicker and sometimes slower

I think there is a German market restriction that limits the speed to something really low (about 80kmh). Is it possible you have one of these?

Engine wise there are loads of things. Has the bike ever gone faster for you? Pistons and rings wear out, but can also fail. Wearing out you will slowly loose performance, sudden failures normally stop the bike running, but you might get "lucky". The air filter can get blocked up, and the exhaust can get coked up

All the best

Keith
