Just thought I`d share , not for any particular reason.

After bodging the Superdream together and getting it through an MOT, I thought I would give it a spin this evening.
So a short trip to the Shotley penninsular was my goal.

I let it warm up as I put my kit on, and then I was off Thumbs Up .
I had only got about half a mile up the road when as I accelerated the clutch started to slip.
However as it got warmer the clutch slip stopped, so maybe I did`nt let it warm up enough and I need new clutch springs and plates.
So as the clutch slip had gone I decided to carry on.

So from Ipswich --> Wherstead --> the Orwell bridge

Then on a bit to the Orwell estuary

Plenty of bird life here if you`re into your twitching!

On to Shotley Marina to watch some of those bloody BIG container ships manouvering in and out of Hawich docks across the water.

It started to get a bit cold and silly me had put my summer kit on so I decided to call it a day and head home.
As I was riding home a strange squeaking noise started?
It turned out to be a dry rev-counter cable/rev-counter.
It`s only about 20 miles to get home so I was soon home in the warm.
A quick squirt of copper grease into the rev-counter and the cable and all was well.

No great shakes , but at least I was able to get out for a spin.
Even if it was on a 250 superdream Smile .

For a 33 year old bike , it handled well and was very comftable Thumbs Up

It's like an MCN photoshoot from 1981. Laughing

Strange to think now, but at the time the styling seemed 'futuristic' especially the comstar wheels.
They do still look pretty nice I think.
