First Sportive...

got my first sportive next week down in Wiltshire, to say im panicking is an understatement...

basically the ride starts in Wiltshire an ends up in London

= 100 miles

i reckon i do the mileage ok, but its timed so you have to get there within a certain time frame

All the ones I have done, the time frame has been ridiculously high, something like 10 hours.

I'm sure most people could easily manage 100miles at a 10mph average (weather permitting).

Set yourself a target of say 7h30m (about 13mph average), that way even if you do run out of steam, you have loads of time to bimble to the end.

13mph should be comfortable i reckon, hopefully we can tag on to the back of a group an just hang back ha!

its a nightmare getting from liverpool to wiltshire to start the ride though

looks like we are getting the train to london then another across to wiltshire, ride to london then train hom

If you know you can do 100 miles then don't worry you will do it easy.
