Well just got home from my first track day at Lydden, did it on my 1999 Honda hornet 600 with standard forks and rear shock, and 16" front wheel, which actually felt a lot more stable than I thought it would Smile

Over all was a fun day, did three sessions in total.

Another ball bag from Kent.

Did you enjoy it? Next time, if you fancy going drop me a PM. How much did it cost you and what did you need to present to the track people?

Yeah it was good mate, it cost £20 per 20 minute session, I did 3 sessions in total, you don't realistically have to present anything, you write down some details including licence number, but they never ask to see or to check your licence.

Killss your tyres pretty quick though Laughing

I'll definitely be there next time.

I had no idea that you could get track time for that cheap haha.
Do you have to have experience before you go there?

Coz it sounds better than those £300-400 a day offers

£300-400 a day?! Even brands full track day is like £90-100? Pricey.

But no, I'll bring my stuff anyway, might see if I can get some track time on the R1.

I really fancy doing a track day in the future.
How would a complete novice with no track experience get started?

I was a complete novice with no experience, it's no different to anyone else.... Pay for a novice session and ride your bike round a track....
