Hi guys. My boots have started leaking, so I am just wondering am I better off buying a new pair or just using overboots. Also, I'm a size 9 so would I need the same size overboot or a size bigger as they have to fit over a 9. Apologies if I have posted in the wrong section Thanks guys. |

I've never found overboots to work well - they made operating the gear shifter slippy, and risked getting tangled in the controls just when you needed to put your foot down. Never got a perfect size for my boots. Dangerous unless you're doing a motorway journey.
Try on before you buy if you can. ____________________ Bikes: S1000R, SH350; Exes: Vity 125, PS125, YBR125, ER6f, VFR800, Brutale 920, CB600F, SH300x4

My boots were leaking, but for £25 I got some patrol boots from the local army surplus store (they're new, they said they've not had actual army surplus stock since the start of those minor skirmishes in the middle east)
They are comfy as fook, tough enough to ride in and waterproof too. ____________________ it is impossible to lick your own elbow...

Thanks for the advice guys. There is actually an army surplus store in the town where I live (Saltash, Cornwall) which I never knew existed lol. Gonna see what they've got to tide me over |
