Almost a decade ago
Using a white bulb on my peds rear brake light i didn't realise had a not-light colouring 'red' lense
Besides it being a dog unit and the dogs going mental in the van scaring the sh-t out of me - quite well, got a producer and the copper said it was like driving behind a lighthouse.
He then noticed i didn't have a front L-plate, asked about it, I said it had probably fallen off ... He said get a new when when I can
Fixed the bulb, down the garage, down the station - job done - lesson learned

What was it for? Not wearing a seatbelt.
How did it go? 15 minute lecture from twat about kittens dying and global warming. And it's all my fault.
How did it work out? Saw the error of my ways, and subsequently saved the kittens. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

Never really had a police that stopped when I had had a little crash before she was a biker herself and quite attractive
Thought I'd have a tug on Friday as my MOT ran out and I was riding back from work at 6am had to follow the police car almost all the way home they never pulled me over though. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

January this year.
Thought I was an illegal teenager on an illegal dirt bike, I think. Called me young man, despite being 41 years old. Ended up with a fixed penalty notice for carrying a passenger without having foot pegs fitted. But, I kid you not, he resorted to looking up on Wikipedia on his phone about my bike, which he was insisting wasn't road legal at all.(XR 250) Erm. |

back when I had my 'ped init.
Had the L plate stuck to the top of the rear plastics(behind the seat) instead of hanging from my numberplate, nice traffic cop just gave me a friendly warning to get it sorted ____________________ current; beemer 5 series! |

2-3 months ago.
Riding at night without my lights on.
I had genuinely turned the lights on before I set off. I must have knocked the switch on to sidelights by accident whilst riding and simply not noticed due to good streetlighting and my dash still being lit up.
I got pulled. Was nervous as there was a few things that he could do me for, like my tax disk being in my pocket rather than on the bike.
Good guy though. He simply informed me that my lights weren't on. Said that obviously it was dangerous to ride like that, I agreed. He quickly asked me to demonstrate that they worked and then he was off on his way! ____________________ 2004 R1 & 2018 XSR900 |

60 in a 30, few months ago, let off with a warning. Mind you it was a 6 lane dual carriageway 30 zone, so not as bad as it sounds. Pulled for things mentioned in the list below previously.
Wheelying (let of with a warning 1983)
Crossing double white lines (3 points 1984) MOT had run out 12 hours before didn't realise till I dug it out for the producer, managed to get a backdated one first thing Monday morning before I produced my documents at the old bill shop..
58 in a 30 (3 points, 1985)
36 in a 30 (let off due to technical balls up after getting 3 points, 1986)
50 in a 30 (let off with a warning and after being breathalysed, car 1990)
100 in a 50 (let off with a warning, 1992)
80 in a 50 (let off with a warning, 1992)
Probably a few I've forgotten about. I always get shaky legs when pulled over, even if I haven't done anything wrong.
I was once stopped with both rear indicators snapped off whilst green laning after a spill in the Peak District. The copper did the bloke in front of me for a small number plate and the bloke behind me for no tax. He put his clip board on my rear rack, covering the indicator stumps with trailing wires, pointed at my numberplate and told the bloke with a small plate that he should have a proper plate like mine.
I've usually been quite lucky, I put it down to a mixture of grovelling, sobbing uncontrollably, offering sexual favours and being the secret son of Sir Robert Mark. ____________________ Blackmail is a nasty word........but not as nasty as phlegm!
