i was given a project bike from a friend due to his ill health.its 1981 gsx 250 99% complete but having problems with starter circuit.i press starter and get a click from solenoid.have checked starter and solenoid both ok replaced battery but still only clicks. i have 3 wires going to and from sloenoid and am wondering if i am missing one.this is my first rebuild and am stumped.earths all cleaned.HELP!!!!!!!

Condition of the wires themselves? Mine occasionally does it but that's just a dodgy connection that i haven't got round to sorting.

yep battery sound everything says it should run but... wires are good low resistance with continuity
