Hi, After a slight disappointment at an RG125 in Ilford im still on the lookout and have found another one at Diss (selling via eBay). Thing is the bike is in pieces and needs a respray...

Ive emailed the seller and have been told its been in pieces for 2 years and has done 31000 (no knowledge of a rebuilt). This rises 2 problems, if its been empty for so long its going to be full of rubbish and the tank may well be rusted. And if the bike hasnt been rebuilt its going to need a new piston/rebore and crank pretty sharpish before it goes bang!

Question being how much would it costs to respray the plastics and tank (a basic colour like Black)? Also does anyone have an estimate on new pistons/reboring and crank?

Editted to add: He wants £250 for it - in its current state im thinking not worth much more than £100 as it has no tax/MOT, will need a lot of work doing, and a decent one will usually go for between £600 and £800 -

a box of bits that might not even have all the parts is worth no more than £50 IMO.

Cheers
