hmm, Well I do like the look of that drag car...

I went in a jet powerd dragster in america. It was on a track, and all you sit in the cockpit, wait for the lights and put your foot down. Basically its a button you press which activates the jets and away you go. It stops its self etc...

It goes from 0 to 120mph in 2 seconds... thats about 5-G.

Heres a pic of me in the "Multi coloured mennis". I had a reaction time of 0.12 seconds... Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Ok then! So if you just did or are about to do 0-120mph in 2 seconds why arnt you wearing a helmet??

Wheres all the marshalls and safety crew in case of a an explosion which is common in drag cars?

Why would they run a jet powered drag car when its almost pitch black?

Why is the rear tyres so large if they are powered by jets??

Yes youd need big rears to control the car, but not that big. I suspect that that car aint powered by a jet. Just a very powerful internal combusiton engine.

Its a bloody car on a track, It dosent drive on them wheels, They are floating. Its like a rollercoaster car.
Its not got an onboard jet, Its a huge canister behind the car, and when you hit the accelerator it releases the car and woosh!...

Im all straped in, and remember, this is america we are talking about, saftey isnt really one of their priorities...

Ben...

P.s Ive got it on video, Ill have to transfer it onto the PC and upload it...

In the mean time, heres a few more photos...

Heres some more pictures of the Cars at oldtown in Florida.
In some of the pictures you can actually see that they are basically rollercoaster cars on a track...

https://www.orlandorocks.com/801x533/gforce_12_13_2003%20(1).jpg

https://www.orlandorocks.com/801x533/gforce_10_20_2003.jpg

In this one you can see all the pipe work and the pressure container which thrusts the car away...

And the same with this 1

And here is a photo of the sign by the ride...

And heres the quote i took from the website...
Quote:
Well there is a new ride that just opened at Old Town and the name is G-Force. This ride, costs $27 to "drive" and $10 more for a passenger. It features two air launched vehicles that look like "funny car Mustangs" going head to head in a drag race. The ride launch includes smoke and sound effects to make you feel like you are doing the real thing, and the 100+ mile speed in seconds you mights as well be. The coolest part of the ride is that you actually launch it with the press of the gas peddle. This measures your reaction time and gives you the chance to win the race based on your skill.

Cool Cool. Do they tell you to put your head back on the headrest, when you launch? Sounds quite fast.

It could hurt otherwise Doh!

Yeh, The rules are quite strict. You have got to sit right back in your chair, put your head back and make sure you are holding on to either the steering wheel or the door handles.
On my second go, I let go of the steering wheel and rather strongly punched my self in the stomach Crying or Very sad ...
But if anybody goes to florida near orelando or disney Land, I highly recomend spending a friday night a "Old Town", Its like a fun fair which is permanant, and its got go karts, the sky swing (300 foot), The Lazer quazer, and even a rollercoaster....
Its on the 192 towards disney land on the left!
Its awsome!!

Ben...

When the car pulls away, you dont even see the damn clocks...
I cant even begin to explain how fast they are... All I remember seeing (Bearing in mind it got to 120mph and began to stop in 2 seconds) all I "Remember" seeing was the end of the track and a huge brick wall comming closer to me! AND all I remember doing was forgeting to hold the steering wheel Tight and ended up punching myself in the stomach

Ive got it on video, so ill set the digi cam up infront of the TV and try to "Convert" it onto the PC without it being to shitty quality!
