hi, i am having trouble with my rear brake on a sv650s 2008. i can press the brake lever down and the it will work and stop the rear wheel from moving but the brake will not automatically come off i have to put my foot under the pedal and lift it back up that way and the wheel is free to move.

anyone got any ideas for me

Cheers guys.

well its sounds exactly like your thread title, the back break is sticking. strip clean and rebuild both caliper and master cylinder (altho most likely and issue with caliper).

if you arent sure take it to someone who knows

yup. what he said.

I had the same thing, it needed the rear caliper taking apart, cleaning out and putting back together. New seals as well I think. I took it to someone who knows and that's what they did (at least, that's what I paid for).
