They all do that sir, its part of their charm.
If you don't like it, you can give the bike to me! ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

The old VFR750 used to do it too. If you ever hear them from the pedestrian point of view they sound nice I think. |

The sound is cool!
When you hear the bike from a distance .
It's one of the best bits about the sound, and those bikes. Nothing sounds the same, other bikes sound kinda boring.
If you get a race can, it will blare out the whine a fair amount, but you can still hear it. |

Its not the gears, the how the gears are made. Every other one up the gear train is two gears stuck together face to face. They're spring loaded against each other so as the gear teeth wear, the springs expand taking up the slack. Hence gears that never wear out
Think quite a few GP bikes have them (more accurate gear timing). The SP2 has them as well.
