I get a ticking sound when riding, pretty sure it's coming from the exhaust headers as that's where the sound seems to come from. If i get myself some of that high temperature sealant 1200c apparently this sealant is. Take the headers off and put a layer on each header as i have two exhaust pipes would it stop any of the leaking going on?

If its applied properly it will stop the leaks,, usually down pipes are sealed with copper o-rings so check these arent crushed flat first and replace if neccessary

Advice against bodging impetuously ignored..

Awaits new thread....

Hi folks, I've just bodged a leak from my exhaust headers and have found the resultant escaping exhaust gas has cut a groove into the cylinder head.

How do I bodge that sort of self inflicted injury?

Razz
