Ok so iv seen online people swapping sachs 125 original exhaust for CBR 600 end cans ( thinking only because I hate the scrambler sound and people saying they haven't experienced loss in power )

It's a Moto Moroni 6 speed single cylinder 125 engine
Has a DELL'ORTO PHCF 2724 carburetor
I'm wondering if anyone could tell me what size jets are in these carbs
And any advice on what to do or what affects negative against the bike it might have

Also like to add I'm not after trying to make it sound like a bigger bike I know that's stupid iv just got a 600 can lying about the garage and seen other people had no problems thanks

hi,
why not take 5mins to read this https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=17124

then half an hour to find out how to get to the carb, then loosen off the jubilee clips holding the carb tight.
then swivel the carb round til its upside down, & remove the float bowl.
most dellortos ( i havnt checked your exact carb as i couldnt see it on my 30 second look see on-line) have only one bolt holding the bowl on, & contained within this "bolt" is the main jet.

& with the bowl off you now have access to the rest of the jets.

all the the jets have numbers/codes engraved on them, so you can see for yourself EXACTLY what jets you have, far better than relying on info from a stranger on a forum, no?

its always worth having a look here as well https://www.dellorto.co.uk/merchandise/products.asp?CategoryID=2&PartsectionID=20

cheers,
GAZ

I don't know which is worse, the OP's post or the fact that you're helping him to jet a two stroke 125 for a CBR600 exhaust!

OP, give me your bike because you don't deserve a lightweight two stroke 125cc sportsbike. Buy a nice four stroke instead, how about a later four stroke Sachs? Much more reliable, and no 'scrambler sound'. I'll even take the bike away with no charge to yourself.

Maybe for some reason yours is a four stroke, and you think it sounds like a 'scrambler'. Why not slip the CBR600 exhaust can over the Sachs can? You'll get the look with none of the drawbacks.

What would be a better solution for your desired result would be to keep your end can and swap the engine, what with that being the bit that makes the noise!

Best bet to find out the sizes of jets is to take it apart and look.
Even from new, you may find the same model came with different jets at different points.

hi,
sorry, i wasnt meaning to encourage him to fit a silly big exhaust on to his 125 (i dont even know/cant remember if its the crap 4t or quite decent 2t version of the xtc or some other model) & had actually forgotten about that part of his post.(i had already presumed there would be umpteen other posts telling him how silly it would be, done far more humorously than i could do)
i just wanted him to use the useful guides, use a bit of common sense & answer his own questions about jet sizes, nothing more.
what he does when he does finds out what jet sizes he has.........well who gives a f*ck,eh?

cheers,

Remember kids these days will have grown up with 4 stroke dirt bikes.
Just unfortunate that most 4 stroke singles with loud pipes sound about the same.
More unfortunate because you're associated with chavs riding pit bikes.

Interestingly, one Italian version of the NSR actually came with an extra big can, like a big stroke sports bike.

I think it was kinda an extra can that went around the normal one or somthing and was there presumably both for looks and to change the tone of the exhaust.
