rimless glasses

Are they ok under a helmet or do they break easy? Wondering if a frame will offer more support but like rimless ones. Anyone use em?

They fit under the helmet, there aren't any stresses on the frame and they're strong enough..

Or do you mean prescription glasses? Thinking

Ive got a set with my prescription lenses that have memoflex arms for the bike, really comfy and have had no problems!

I have a £70 pair from Specsavers which are quite flimsy and have a thin rim. They've been ok so far, the only problem is at higher speeds they get pushed back onto my nose and it bloody hurts! So if I know I'm going Motorway speeds I wear my cheaper, sturdier pair. I've also found that the helmet does put a little pressure on the sides so I've had to have the glasses adjusted a couple of times more than normal.

If you get the flex-arm ones they're wearable, i got a cheap sunglasses set for summer riding as i tend to have my visor up a lot, but i tend to find even with flex-arms they begin to dig very painfully into the sides of your head after an hour riding and i end up having to take them off. They also have a tendancy to 'shuffle' up a bit with lifesavers as your head moves inside sometimes, so i end up tapping them back against my forehead every 10 minutes Laughing

Might just be my helmets paddings very tight though.

my HJC helmet has grooves in the padding so my glasses fit without being pushed into the sides of my head.
failing that, try and get your prescription lenses fitted to Morpheus style glasses. Thumbs Up

I find decent rimless glasses can be used under helmets but I prefer to just spend £25 on a cheapie set of Specsavers rimmed jobbies. Apart from anything else they seem more secure under a hat and I'm not terrified of them getting damaged when I use them.

No problems at all with rimless glasses. I wear a Shoei with grooves at the sides in the lining, not sure about other helmets though.

What are you planning on doing with them?

I've had rimless glasses that cost anything from £12 up to £300ish and worn them with all sorts of helmets. Never a problem. I do find it much easier with flip helmets though.

I'm blind my self, and I can't use glases for 2 reason. Number one, I can't fit them into my helmet without pain and number two, when I lean forward at high speed I can't see a thing because I look right above the glases. Thumbs Down

I wear semi rimless specs, and find that as long as they have fairly thin arms, they do pretty well on the bike. Chunky frames I think would suffer more.

Its the way they flex when i'm putting them on!
I prefer the more solid feel of the thick ones too, being honest.

Mine are rimless and fit perfectly well under the lid. No issues.
