Image scaling for online gaming.

I have W8, Intel 4000 - ATI 8850M Hybrid and the catalyst control center/ATI driver doesn't have an image scaling option.

Iv'e been looking at other options on the net using notepad, but I'm unable to save changes to COD4 config_mp file using notepad?

Basically I'm trying the mod to get the game to run full screen.
Notepad won't allow me to save the changes, any suggestions?

Disable UAC.

winkey+r
msconfig
tools
change uac settings

reboot
try accessing the file again.

Still can't save the changes, need special permissions.
I think I read somewhere that this option wasn't available with the basic version of W8. (Might only be available with W8 Pro)
Upgrading to 8.1 (Free upgrade), see if that works.

Often to do things like this you have to run notepad as an administrator (right click on icon then run as an administrator) Then open the file using the open command from the toolbar in notepad.

Start up a command prompt in administrator mode.

Copy, paste and run these two commands in the console:

Copy/move the file to a different directory, change it and then move it back to where it was
