im after joining a forum to get best info on my zx6r j1 any recomendations would be good cheers.

had a look yes but not found anything half decent, would the cam chain run of the edge of the cams on my bike or centre of the cam ?

iv never had to touch a 600 engine before touch wood, just all single lumps where the cam chain hasnt needed to be split.

i only get links to camchains for sale on ebay from the search engine on here . dont think thats right its normally good for vids and previous posts ect.

cam chain is on the right hand side of the cams on that era zx6r

mcnninjas is the fount of all ninja related knowledge - quiet these days tho.

Can't imagine why you'd want to split it though. Only if needed replacing I would have thought?!?

If the suspension is all std, then they like at least 8-10mm of extra rear ride height to make the steering quicker and stop them running straight on through bends.

Ultimately if your a fast rider or want to do track days etc, then the rear shock is not great and could do with a re-build/re-valve and lighter spring or an aftermarket shock.

Paint rubs off the wheels very easily, don't use petrol or solvents to clean them.

Watch out for the 6pot Tokico's suffering with sticking pistons, they need plenty of maintenance and looking after. Use small nylon brush's to get into the caliper with brake cleaner when you wash it, and take them off and remove the pads for a proper clean at least once or twice a year.

I found mine was much nicer to ride with 2-3psi less than recommended in both tyres, but that's true of many bikes.
