been pointed in the direction of this. Karma to the boy for helping out those in need.

https://metro.co.uk/2013/12/18/teenager-buys-600-of-food-for-just-4p-with-supermarket-coupons-then-gives-it-to-families-in-need-4235826/

basically a 16 year old managed to save up over 400 coupons and went on a shopping spree to help those in need out for their christmas.

there is hope for the world yet Thumbs Up

I agree, he knows what's good Wink

I gave a little girl a quid in the shop the other day who couldn't afford anything, she was pretty gobsmacked

didn't mind the back of my van either

Good for him! Thumbs Up

I'm not knocking him, however I can't help thinking that he must have had some, extreme, cooperation from the shop.
If a pleb, like myself, turned up with wads of vouchers, for a weekly shop, I've got feeling they'd find a way of not honouring all of them.

Good publicity though, clever boy! Wink

Good lad Thumbs Up .

A few years ago, tesco would accept any coupon for anything (i.e. milk coupon doesn't need to be spent on milk) but only one per transaction. When my wife was at uni, she would print off about 20 of each internet coupon she could find, then split her shopping into several transactions so each one used all the coupons and cost her a few pence. She got about a thousand quids worth of free shit before they changed their policy so that coupons only work with the product on the coupon Laughing .

Given that he has about 40 of each item (squirty cream included), he probably took advantage of the new version, but still did it in multiple transactions.

Hmm. Good lad on the face of it - not sure how useful the trolley of cream will be but sure it'll get used somehow Laughing

The cynic in me does wonder though

Definately. I meant in terms of whether this 'business' would be in the same generous theme of giving to the needy, or more just a business of him flogging and advising on coupons for profit-to-his-pocket Razz

You mean to say we now have American style coupons?! If it's possible to use some brainpower to basically shop for free, count me in.
