yeh, but how much is another standard exaust?
and how much are they new/second hand...etc

second hand I paid £10 Very Happy ...although I admit it was cheap

just phone around some breakers. I reckon £40 tops +postage.

whats the point with pissing around with mesh and that etc, (especially if the hole's near the weld line like mine was) when a s/h exhaust isn't that expensive. Plus the repairs won't last too long if not properly done..

If the exhaust's can be sorted under warranty it's probably best to leave it 'cos they could claim that it was something to with you messing with it.

i heard that you should drill the whole so that it is round (it stops the hole getting bigger), although you prob couldn't find a big enough drill bit...then you just plug it up with something

hi,

suggest you nip into halfords or a motor accessory shop and buy an exhaust bandage. it wraps around the pipe, will keep the gas in and the noise down. they are heat proof and will cost about a fiver, should last until the 12th, and more importantly , should be easy to remove so the shop can do any warranty repairs.

cheers, carl
