Seeing as I've got new brake pads to replace the fork oil soaked one's on my NSR I ahould really clean the disc so that they don't get covered in oil as soon as I replace them.

Anyone know if there's anything speficic I should use (ie a specific chemical/product etc) or do I just use paper towel and toothbrush for the holes?

Petrol the bastard!

I imagine its just like dust and dirt on them i supose. so noraml cleaning methods would suffice.

Another useless post by Scotty

Yes you can get brake cleaner. Works well and evaporates quickly. Just go to Partco and buy some (car new brake disks almost always come new with a layer of oil to stop them corroding, and you need to wash that off)

All the best

DO NOT USE WD40!!!
my brakes on me ped sounded shite and were squealing louder than the engine. i goes inside while my mate comes up with more ideas about how to combat this minor problem. So when i return what do ya know my half-wit m8 used WD40 'look it's got rid of the squeak' (along with the frikkin brakes) took ages to burn off that oil

use disk brake cleaner cleans most shite off my disks......
