Its great. I needed to exchange for a large from a medium but J&S got the replacement out to the local store in 24 hours.

Its quite and seems to just cut through the air and is around half a kilo lighter than my old Nitro NP1100-F. It got good Sharp results. Has no internal visor though which is ok by me as never used the one on my old lid.

Seems Vemar do good business in europe and the states but struggling to get into the brit market hence cracking good sale prices.

So well worth a look at if your wanting a quality lid at a reasonable price.

How much does it weight?

Got a 1250 and 1450 answer. Latter not so good. Former not too bad for the price.

Between 1200 and 1300 on my crappy kitchen scales my Nitro gets 1500 1600 on the same scales. It certainly feels light as a feather.

Been out and about with it on today. Its good and the visor closes with a nice solid light thump instead of my Nitros CLUNK!

Not too bad for the price, then. Not up to the 1kg or so for the proper-expensive carbon lids, but around the weight of a light weight 'normal' one at least.

I'll get mine weighed on some fairly decent scaled and got 1225 grams, which I thought was decent for a £100 carbon lid!

I'm not an expert on lids but I'm amazed how much better than the Nitro it is. It might be only a few hundred grams lighter but combined with lower noise levels and better aerodynamics its a mega improvement. I was going to get a Shark Speed R which would have been a hundred quid more buit glad I didn't and as it turns out Vemar were manufacturers of Shark helmets originally. My old lid feels bloody unsafe now I realise how loose the fit had become.
