the dials work fine.
Its the bit that the cable goes into at the bottom of the wheel.
This isnt turning any more , so i'm not getting a reading.
Does anyone know how much these are to buy ?
and how long it would take to fit?

Very easy to fit, basically :

* Put bike on main stand (possibly weighting the back, but that doesn't seem to be needed)

* Unscrew axle and remove wheel

* Remove damaged speedo thingy

* Add grease as appropriate

* Put new speedo thingy on followed by wheel

* Tighten Axle

£30 was for labour and it was greasing and some bearing or other

Hi

Probably the little gearbox on the front axle for the speedo. Not likely to be that expensive.

However it could also be the small bit of bent metal that sits in the wheel to turn the gearbox bit. Find out first

Anyway, easy to fit. Pretty much as G said. If you are quick you may even get away with it by getting someone to lean the bike over so it is on the side stand and rear wheel with the front held in the air while you change it. Done front wheel changes like this a few times when I am feeling lazy and cannot be bothered to take the fairing off

All the best

Keith
