Hi all,

The only ones I can find on ebay are £80. Apparently the MK1 Bandit one will fit but they're £60.

Does anyone have one for a Suzuki RF600 or does anyone know if any other models will fit. I.E. RF900, or Bandit 1200. They seem to be a lot cheaper.

I know it's the gearbox because I have a brand new speedo cable and I've had the clock end poking out and it doesn't turn. It's been going for a while now and it's now at the point where I have no speedo.

Please Help.

Cheers

Gaz

According to Robinson's Foundry, the GSF600, RF600 and RGV250 are the only bikes that use that particular speedo drive. That's what they cost, unfortunately.

I was hoping that wouldn't be the case but it's looking like I'll have to bite the bullet.

I'll be keeping the bike for at least another year because I love it so I suppose it's worth it.

Just had steering head Barings done so the wife isn't too happy with my spending at the moment.

I told her that if I bought a new bike it wouldn't break as much. She's not having any of it.

Cheers

Gary

It could be the speedo drive, or it could be the bit in the wheel that engages with the speedo drive.

Thanks Robby,

Never had one of these apart so don't really know what to expect when I get there. I guess the spindle just goes straight through it and that is what drives it?

Cheers
