Thinking of doing Cadwell this Tuesday.

Weather is conflicting on all the sites I've looked!

What's the most reliable one to look on? I really don't want to do a wet track day.

Met office is going to be the most reliable. All of the weather sites have different sized areas, the BBC being one of the ones with big areas per postcode.

I'd guess that Met Office are the most accurate, they anecdotally seem to be.

Better get some wets then!

There's only an option for "advanced" when booking it. I'm guessing this means I can't do it?

Yeah you'll be punted off into the kitty litter before you can say "I'm scared!".

Do a trackday where novice group is available.

You have to book quite far in advance if you want a slot. It's not really something you can just do on a whim.

I guess I'll have to take my chances with the professional fun ruiners this week then.

Just book for advanced group and after the first session go and see the organiser and say it's a bit quick for you and they'll let you swap to another group.

It happens all the time, mostly guys that think they are better than they are, the organisers will move them but it works both ways.

They allow for changes to groups.

Thumbs Up

I had similar, except I'd booked in novice and wanted to be in fast - when I booked I'd only done two trackdays and thought it was best to booking in novice for a new track. After that I'd done two more trackdays going into inters then fast.

They didn't have any space in the faster groups for most of the day and wouldn't move me up.

I got black flagged for a overtaking after the mountain - more an issue because it may have concerned the other rider because an instructor decided to overtake on the other side of the rider at the same time, but I'd already committed to the overtake when the instructor did the same.

However, they may be more likely to pull you down a group if they think you could cause a problem with the difference in speeds.
