Right then, in deference to the current sporting event........

Your bike with any pub/shop/street name, featuring a Commonwealth country, except the Home Nations

Does this one include restaurant names or does that make it too easy?

I didn't think of that, so since you ask, let's stick at pub/shop/street, not restaurant.

Righto. There are a couple of so-named roads not far off of my commuting route, except the next opportunity to ride to work is Tuesday.

I reckon someone will beat me to this one but we'll see.

Some very unappetising looking candy floss. Almost as unpleasant as the burgers they were selling

Turns out it's quite difficult to fit in a 720' tower, with a tiny bike in the near foreground

https://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff426/zedheadchap/20140804_201110.jpg

Here it is from a bit further back

https://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff426/zedheadchap/20140804_201605-1.jpg

And if you look very carefully, there's the so called Croydon tower, which is actually only about a mile away

All the speedway stadia near me are still in use. Does it have to be defunct?

Yes, because I did in use stadia before and there are substantially more defunct tracks, which gives a greater number of people a chance to find one.

As about as defunct as you can get. What was Stanley Stadium.

The fact that the site is now a fruit market is mentioned in the history section of this link:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liverpool_Chads

This challenge was quite interesting for me, as when I searched google I came across the above info and was quite surprised because I grew up around the back of this place and walked past it every day on the way to school and had no idea until tonight, that it used to be a speedway track.

Anyway, next challenge is: Your bike outside a building that has a blue plaque of a person.

One of those odd situations where a major city was unable to sustain a speedway team, even through the heyday of the sport, yet just down the road in Manchester, Belle Vue are now the oldest continuously running team in the country.

I'll resist the temptation to grab the next one, even though it only involves me getting my bike out (I live opposite a blue plaque).
