i was just wondering ive owned a hyosung gt125r and noticed they are pretty much the same as the gs500, i brought a gs500 with bent forks, before i buy new forks for the gs , i was wondering if to go for the orginal gs500 forks, or try and error with the hyosung forks, as i think they have the same frame and stem bit, but i dont know about bearings? would it fit? and would the suzuki wheel fit on the hyosung forks or do i have to use the orginal wheel for the forks? i will be uploading pics, the suzuki which will be a project bike so i will keep you posted on how it goes

the thing you are forgetting is that the GS5 will be a fair chunk heavier and the spring preload will reflect that.

other than that, i very much doubt they will have matching eaing sizes

The thing you are forgetting is that the gt125r is ridiculously heavy.
Like they couldn't be bothered to actually do any proper R&D when copying Suzuki and didn't realise the frame was made from hollow tube or something so just used solid bits of metal.
It is listed on wikipedia as 166kg compared to 175kg for the GS500e.

However, I'd just stick to the GS forks probably - check to see if other stuff is a similar size (ie wheel spindles etc), but I'd guess it's really not worth the hassle.

i think they do fit from memory, but you'll have to buy the complete front end, i chucked a gsxr front end on my gs500, and that went on with minimal fuss

The frame is clearly copied from the GS500, but the yokes? Dunno, but diameter is as diameter does, right?

USD forks won't fit in RWU yokes unless they are vastly under-sized from the originals. You'll need the top & bottom yokes.

yeah thats what i meant by complete front end,
basically the head stock is the same as the gs500, so you can fit the hyosung yokes and stem into the gs head stock,
