What book are you reading at the moment?

I love science fiction but I've read so much of it now it's becoming hard to find more good reads.

Currently reading the Expanse series by James S A Corey and it's managing to hold my attention quite well.

Is anyone else reading anything interesting?

Adolf Galland's "The First And The Last", his memoirs as one of the Luftwaffe's leading fighter aces in WW2, who went on to become the youngest major-general of that organisation, and was put in charge of the fighter arm.

Just started reading "Collapse" by Jared Diamond. Only read a few pages so far. I thoroughly enjoyed "Germs, Guns and Steel" by the same author. Both non fiction BTW.

I'm a real man and as such will only read books from the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre.

The book I’m reading at the moment is called: Fool's Assassin by Robin Hobb.

It is fantastic. The prose is more introspective and meandering then the usual balls out, blood, guts and violence I’m used to but it's great. Bloody thing actually made me shed a tear the other day which did my macho belligerent image no favours.

Just finished reading an Andy McNab (easy reading on night shifts) but I can't remember the name, but rather enjoyed it. Also just finished John Grisham The Litigators, rather good and enjoyable. Love some of his stuff (The Broker, The Testament) but others I really struggle to get into.

Not strictly a book but while on my work breaks I have been reading ride reports from a couple of motorcyclists from Toronto, Canada who decided to sell everything that they own and hit the road. They've currently been on the road for more than 2 years and are now in Italy (or were last month).

Read their around the world thread until I finally caught up their updates and have since been flicking backwards and forwards between their old adventures (Europe, India, Iceland, etc) and catching up whenever they put up their latest report.

Trying not to read it some days so that I can prolong my reading materials for longer.

Really envy what these people are doing and have done and seen on their travels.

The writing and some of the photography on their site is breathtaking.
