Does anyone have the AGV Corsa helmet?
I have just bought one but i'm not sure if i need a size bigger. It has the same measurements as my old GP Tech but for some reason it just feels a bit tighter.

I have a corsa....I do feel I should have gone a size larger. The shell size changes between ms and ml which means I worry it'll never properly bed in to my head shape

Thanks for that, it's exactly the same situation. I need to try an ML before sending it back

You have a supplier that accepts helmet returns Shocked . Please tell me who so I don't buy from them in future.

I thought helmets were exempt from that. I shall go and check.

Their policy - you send the items back unused in their original condition with all the original packaging

So what is unused?

No need. They are not, although some sellers try to claim that they are. The only conceivable reason is:

goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly

If they want to argue that a helmet "deteriorates rapidly" once unboxed, then it's not fit for purpose, right?

Unused does not mean unopened, or un-tested. The whole point of cancellation is to allow consumers to inspect goods.

you're arguing for the sake of it, sportsbikeshop are happy for me to try it on and if it doesn't fit i can return it.

What about a basketball you bounce in the shop? is that now used? how about a golf club where you take a practice swing?

Not sure that a jacket or glove being dropped in a shop is likely to damage it - and in my experience helmets in shops are usually well looked after and usually in plain sight of the staff. So, clarifying my question,
What happens to the helmets that have been posted out (perhaps using the nightmare courier services we read about), then could easily have been dropped, kicked and tried on in the house of the new 'owner' before being returned via the same cowboy operators who stacked it under 37 other boxes? Do they get resold?

Some helmets go out from the distributor to the dealer for a customer to try, if it's something they don't stock. In this case, if it doesn't suit the customer for whatever reason, the dealer may return it to the distributor. There, a careful examination is made of the helmet before deciding where it goes.

First check is the packaging. Signs of damage/abuse? So this raises suspicions on how the helmet has fared inside.

Then the helmet's own box, for similar.

Now the helmet itself. First, the external shell. Any signs of damage? Scuffing, damaged vents, cracks in paintwork, etc. It doesn't take much to figure whether it had a hard life whilst out, or got any abuse.

Next, interior. Signs of use? Dandruff, loose hairs, smell, compression of padding, general cleanliness. If any suspicions after external examination, then liner is removed and EPS and internals inspected.

If pristine, it will go back to stock. Minor defects but no usage (other than being tried on), goes to show stock (BMF etc) for sale at discount price. In doubt? Scrapped.

Have to be a bit of a Sherlock Holmes, but as said, if in doubt about helmets, then they go to scrap.

That's how I do it, anyway.

Not that many get special ordered TBH. And most returns in this way come in good. A lot of stock cleanse (old models, dealers closing down etc) helmets go to show stock, usually due to minor scuffs and scratches from being on dealer shelves, or just because they're obsolete.
