What're your favourite metal covers? Mine is either Temptation by Cradle of Filth or Land of Confusion by In Flames.

Look up Pop Goes Punk, it's a series of albums that are chart songs covered by bands and some of them are rather screamy.

A little seasonal, but Zebrahead's cover of All I Want For Christmas Is You (Mariah Carey) is great

The Rage Against The Machine - Renegades of Funk album is all covers, with a special mention to their version of Bob Dylan's "Maggie's Farm".

A recently released cover, I enjoyed, was Buckcherry's version of Icona Pop's "I Love It". Their version is retitled "Say Fuck It" though.

Never noticed that Laughing Even heard the Genesis original a fair few times Shocked

Can't think of many 'proper metal' covers that stand out off the top of my head to be honest.

Static X cover of Elvis - Speedway

Slipknot/Mudvayne cover of Nirvana - Teen spirit

Dope cover of Dead or Alive - Spin me right round

Limp Bizkit cover of George Michael - Faith

Type O Negative's version of "Summer Breeze" is a bit different to the original.

Machine Head did a not very good cover of "Message In A Bottle"

Once upon a time, I'm sure I had a metal version of "heartbeat" which was hilarious:
all lovely singing
"Heartbeat" #bow-wow-wow-wow# "why do you skip, when my baby kisses me?"
#BA-NA D-NA-NA BA-NA D-NA-NA#

And I'm also convinced it was by Nazareth, but all my vinyl went many years ago and I've be able to find it again since...

My other favourites in general are on Garage, inc - Stone Cold Crazy played as proper thrash; and the Motorhead covers...
I mean, Metallica covering Motorhead (and playing it in time, with the right notes and everything)... just how Heavy do you want your Metal? Twisted Evil
