The best advice I can give you is that you learn punctuation.

Then we'll be able to understand what you are dribbling on about.

You can't pick the one you prefer so you've got two choices that I can think of. Either pick the one that's in better condition, or try to haggle with the sellers, then whichever is cheaper or in better condition you buy. If you fuck haggling up with either of them, you can just buy the other one.

One of the sellers should be able to budge on the price.

That is one of the joys of limiting yourself to a dealership, however it does save you the hassle of having to sell your own bike (and what they offer you for it will make those autotrader examples look like they are gold plated Wink )

Cheers for that bud but they are both at same shop

I think what he's saying is that he's intending to palm his broken bike off on a dealer who will sell it at a huge premium as "mint example, goes and stops as it should, guaranteed to not disappoint sold as seen, no returns, no warranty, guarantee does not apply."

Those asking prices are ludicrous even for a dealer, even for Spring Madness. Given that you're intending to get away with trading in a lemon to that dealer, I'd expect to be sold one as well.

Both those bikes aren't worth anymore than £1500 with the mileage and age. No matter how mint they are.

Get the 2.3k together and buy an infinitely better bike.

They are old and not worth that at all... You'll get a J model ZX6R and an offroader for that money.

I would have neither. I'd go buy a J model zx6r and a 200/250 offroader because wasting money would be silly. If 1974 is relative to your age then you are being a very silly old man Wink

I'd go for the CBR but I am biased and both are way overpriced, even for a shop.

My CBR600, slightly older but less miles was less than half of that !

Why would anyone buy a 16-18year old bike from a Stealer though?

Bikes of that age should only be ever bought privately, as otherwise as you are finding out they will be well overpriced for what they are, partly because a dealer has to overprice them and allow for warrenty etc.

A warrenty on a 15year old bike will be useless though and not worth the paper it's printed on, or the hassle of taking back. If your buying a 16year old bike you should be looking after it yourself as your a fool otherwise.

There is nothing wrong with a lovely clean looked after 99CBR or 96 ZX6R F-series, but Paddy is right. There are better bikes for the asking price, and allowing for the fact I sold a mint 9000mile J1 ninja in 2008 for £2100, a similar condition F-series should be worth £1000-1200 tops, and id want a bloody nice one for that too!

Fix Fazer, Sell Fazer TBH!

Part exchanging a bike because it's giving you grief is a bit of a piss poor reason to do a swap IMO. And depending on what's giving you grief with the Fazer, it could seriously reduce what you get offered for it.

Swapping a bike out of desperation is never a good way to change or get a good deal, and what makes you think that an 18year old 600cc sportsbike won't ever have any issues or cause some head scratching?

Go to Motorcycle news website and look at the reviews for both bikes, it tells you all you need to know.

CBR = warm sportster, very good at doing most things but not excellent at anything.

ZX6R = Bit warmer sports bike, the more hooligan option, goes around a track very well.

Thumbs Up
