Datatool help needed/ignition

Hey there,

I'm in need of some advice. I'm trading my bike in tomorrow so only need a quick fix really to get it started a few times.

I've had the datatool s4 fitted for the last 4 years on my sv650s. This morning as I'm about to go out to the ace cafe run it won't start. It's done this before in the cold, but today is not cold. I let it warm up and it still refuses to start. It's turning over but not firing.

The last couple of times I tried I can hear a noise coming from he alarm under the seat. I remember my mechanic saying about the alarm might be playing up.

Any tricks or ideas? I could jump start it with difficultly (on my own). Any way I can disengage the alarm? Do you think his would help?

Any advice would be appreciated. I'm so sad I could cry, I've been waiting ages for my new bike and if it won't start and I can't trade it in I'll be so angry!

Your quickest way out might well be to remove that alarm. If it was the System 3 I could tell you how to bypass it in 10 minutes but I don't know the pinouts of the system 4.

Nah. It's the S4. I managed to get the thing started this evening, hopefully will run tomorrow for me. Thanks for the offer. I'm re thinking on whether to fit the new bike with a datatool or not.
