They're bang on!

Six pots can be an arse to keep tip top, usually they require a strip down and clean every so often so they might suffer a bit from your commute depending on if its during the winter or not.

Nice big bulky bike, great front end.

120 miles a day? You'll need to be very good friends with a chiropractor...

What do you call cheap?

It will sounds like a tractor on idle, they all do. OEM pipes rust pretty easily if they have them on.
As Wull said, 6 pots need regular maintenance.

What type of history does it have??

Like a real proper sports bike, but heavier.

If you are talking 120 miles on nice fast A roads or motorway then you will probably survive. They are solid and stable on the move.

I loved mine, but it was a track bike and hardly ever got ridden on the road. Not the most comfortable ride but maybe you could get the seat recovered with a gel insert. For an old bike they still seem to draw a bit of attention from passers by.

Obligatory pic of my old one:

American muscle, you do know the difference between miles and kilometres don't you? Laughing It might be cheaper and easier to move a little closer... rent a weekday place... ride home at weekends. Thumbs Up

Heavy, uncomfortable and the valve clearances (shim under bucket) need checking/adjusting every 8k.

Valves alone would rule it out for me.

the bikes as S reg 98
12000 miles full service history, 3 owners
very clean for £1500

not worried about the weight as I am used to riding bikes from 300kg upwards so it should feel light as a feather to me

definitely 120 miles round trip each day
Cheltenham to coleshill mostly fast A road
