I have 6-8mm of play in my throttle and it's really annoying me now. I understand the normal for most bikes is 2-3mm.

I'd like to adjust it but want to be sure I'm doing it right. I've seen a few vids of it being done but still not sure which adjuster to adjust and how much.

Can someone please see attached pic and let me know what to adjust and how? I've labelled it on the pic for easy reference. In layman's terms would be best so I don't miss something.

Many thanks

Cheers, Vincent Thumbs Up

When you say "the other end", what do you mean?

Where the cable fixes on the carbs.....is it carbs, or Fi? Not that it matters much in this case.
It's easy to put too much adjustment on those plastic adjusters and the thread can give way or the plastic adjuster splits. I wouldn't want to use up more than half of the adjustment at the handlebars.

It's Fi.

So if I just adjust "A" without taking up too much up, and then a bit on "B" to take up the rest, that should do it?

You have all the adjustment available so you should be OK. The locking ring needs to go clockwise to loosen it then the main part anti-clockwise until it's adjusted enough. Remember to leave a small amount of play.

Many thanks. Will have a go tonight.

Thumbs Up
