Some torque settings are for a dry thread, some are for a lubricated thread.
They can be very different to achieve the same degree of tightness. Presumably your manual is quoting the level for a lubricated thread.
I use copper grease on the threads but nylock nuts. Best of both worlds. They undo, but only when you want them to. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
