Kent Combs, to be exact.

If you haven't tried a Kent comb, do your head a favour:

I never knew how much difference a quality comb could make until today. No joke.

A real gentleman would use a brush.

Combs are for plebs.

...and for nits.

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I've probably jinxed it now from the praise, mind.

You're just jealous. I'll have you know my GF is loving the Kent comb she bought for herself (she surprised me with my own new comb this evening).

When you go through life, the little things that surprise you with being better than expected get rarer and rarer.

When I was a kid, I had zero aspiration to ride bikes; it all got started on a whim, doing a CBT on scooters to get around London faster than public transport. And now I can hardly imagine a life without multiple bikes. I was ignorant to how much fun could be had.

Food and wine are a similar voyage. From port to truffles to 25 year balsamic, I've experienced things that don't sound believable when I try to put them into words.

But this comb is actually quite cheap, yet I was startled by its quality. I feel compelled to speak out. It's important that these things are known. Although it's better to suffer a few decades with mediocre objects before you can really appreciate enlightenment through better objects. Consumerism really can uplift your soul!

FWIW, Kent are brushmakers to HRH the Queen, if you care about that sort of thing (I don't).

You're right. I'm jealous.

A comb like that wouldn't pass through my flowing, pre-raphaelite curls.

I have to use an over-size Afro comb, 5 inches wide, 5 teeth!

I might as well just drag my fingers through for all the good it does.

Even a 'fro comb would be a waste-o-time.

Mine goes from flowing glorious curls to The Big Dreadlock in a matter of days. And the No. 1 Chaperone shaves his head with gusto to produce that Genial but Menacing appearance he achieves so well. Wub

That's why it has no handle.

Your butler doen't brush your hair. He serves you drinks while your valet does. Rolling Eyes
