 |
|
I was informed during a dyno / ecu flash that an injector was malfunctioning and should be repaired or replaced..
I opted for the latter..
well the bits have arrived and I made a start on this task..
Stripping off the plastics and fuel tank down to the air box ..
;which is part of the frame;. and another part of the frame which unbolts..
Once inside set about removing the inlet rubbers or velocity stacks or whatever you wanna call them.. they pulled out into the air box with a little manipulation once the jubilee clips were loosened..
The throttle bodied are in a very tight hole with very little hand room..
There are more wires and connectors than I have ever seen on any previous bike I have ever owned..
Still with patience they came out ...disconnecting those wires is a pain in the arse..
Cleaned with a little carb and choke cleaner and rinsed with petrol..
enough for one day.. ____________________ Whatever I post I have no citation and no intention of providing one..

Did they tell you which injector it was? If so, how did they know? ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Closed-loop tuning to full revs? I wasn't aware that the ECU had the processing power to do that. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Not really. Sounds like someone has written some auto-tune code to make it behave like a PC5.
Hilltop have a good rep at least, though 'likes' from people ignorant of what's going on only carry so much weight.
I remember a guy who used to 'tune' Suzuki ecu's by post with a yoshbox. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

well to day I did remove defective injector from the common rail and fit the new one ... along with all the 0 ring seals and washers on the others..
silicone lubricated the manifold rubbers and squeezed the throttle boddies back into place.. along with all the wiring ____________________ Whatever I post I have no citation and no intention of providing one..

Looks like just a faulty o-ring. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
