My biking journey started out on these very forums so I think its only fair to post my fuck ups here too.

Here is what could "allegedly" happen if you accidentally pick up the wrong/drowsy antihistamine tablets before going out a long ride in the country.

https://www.facebook.com/rikkiscotland/videos/vb.557407894/10153114211897895/?type=3&theater

End result of that off was a car and bike went to heaven and I went to the local hospital with a busted nut, broken wrist and 2 fingers out of action for a while. Bruising elsewhere but nothing else damaged really. Im a lucky motherafucker!

https://i.imgur.com/tLI6c1d.jpg

But ... alls well that ends well ... Within a month Id bought a replacement 750, chassis number only 120 off the one I murdered Very Happy And its just had the fairings and stuff all changed too so it doesnt look the same as the old one Very Happy

https://i.imgur.com/A6FTlGb.jpg

Cheers!

Good job it wasn't a tractor Shocked

Live and learn as they say. Thumbs Up

I think it's probably correct to say that we've all done something similar. We're just lucky to not have met a vehicle coming the other way at the same time.

Kudos for posting. Karma

Well done for sharing - the vid is such a good lesson for what happens when you take the wrong line. It would be a great training aid.

Fair skills on the person following you to avoid both car and bike!!

grr666: It just looked like a big purple rugby ball. THe busted part was inside where what was one became about 12 bits floating around going by what they said the ultra sound looked like.
Undinist: The line was bang on, spotting the car and grabbing front brake is what ploughed me into it Sad
Bish: Yeah she was shook up as you'd imagine but A1. Didnt even bite when the insurance cunts told her she had a sore neck
UncleBFester: They were both swollen but one's resumed duty while the other they wanted to whisk off and away

Glad it's not too bad.

Shame you pulled on the brakes... you can see the bike going upright, which was why you hit them.

Lesson learned?

Yeah watching it I felt you see the car, your head come up and your eyes swivel from the line you were steering then fucking bam. Knacker in twelve parts and bike in a billion bits. Needless to say bike would've pissed it.

Glad you were okay cos wow, could easily have been loads worse.

I also have just the one. It makes life a bit easier...not nearly so many ouch-I've-banged-a-nut-on-the-tank moments.

So would you say there was a smidge of target fixation in there somewhere or was it all too quick for that?
