So... I'm off on a stag do in May and for some reason Budapest was chosen as the location. I was hoping it was going to be Amsterdam but hey ho I wasn't the decision maker.

So... anyone been there?

Looking at Google Maps it seems to be located in Hungary. That is about all I know about the place.

What's good to do there?

I've been. Brilliant!

So you'll know there's two sides, Buda and Pest, on either side of the big river that runs through Europe, the Danube.

There's a castle You can get on a little cart up a hill to get to. OR just walk up, it's not hard. From there you can look out over to the city and see the houses of parliament which were supposedly built wth Westminster in mind but it's much more gothic looking.

The weather can be brilliant, I went in August and saw the arse end of the red bull air race and it was cracking the flags.

Now here's the good bit. It's not Euro! Beer is cheap and nice! Enjoy!

Make sure you check out the ruin pubs. Szimpla was the best one I went to. You will not regret it! Wink Also if you all can, I would advise you to go caving because we did and it was probably my favourite part of the trip:

Last but not least check out the public baths, there are a few but I think the best was the most popular one:

Don't know what the weather will be like in May, but I was there in June and it hit 42C. Laughing

Budapest weekend complete!

What an amazing place. I was doubting it as a stag destination but it was fantastic.

Activities included:

Strip Club
Spending £100.00 on strippers - very hot strippers, that let you touch anything you wanted! Never been somewhere like that before. Had a blonde a red head and a burnette. It was free bar for 2 hours when we got there and you could drink whatever you wanted.

Shooting Range
Get a chance to shoot some cool guns. I shot a pump action shotgun, AK47, Uzi, Luger, Magnum and a Glock 9mm. Pretty awesome.. then free beers afterwards.

Beer bike bus
Basically it's a bus that you all cycle and you have to try and finish a keg. Turned into a beer fight, and giving free beer to tramps and forcing bikers to drink while they are filtering... Quite funny.

Geo Thermal Baths
Outdoor baths that are heated by the earth. Really nice!!

What I loved about the place:
Food was really cheap, drink was really cheap, the amount of stunning women walking around was ridiculous!! Eyes were popping out my head. It was very hot, everyone spoke English (which is helpful). Really really cool place.

Thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

My mate Fridge lived there for a while, did a bit of ducking and diving, ended up being a cage fighter - I dunno, or a wrestler or something ...! he's a bit of a lump, LOL.

He was there for a couple of years, from what I remember, and he still goes back over there quite often, he still has lots of mates and business contacts over there.

I keep hoping he will invite us to pop over there with him, 'cos it does sound kind of cool (apart from the hookers, bo-ring! Laughing )
