I've done my CBT and theory test, im just wondering if I should do the direct access rather than a2 test. How much is it to do the direct access test? and can you do it on its own? Looking to get a 500-600 when ive passed.

DAS is usually quite a bit more expensive. All depends on your local schools costs, how much training you'll need etc.

Go for the DAS though. Thumbs Up Whilst you can

Is it possible to have a few training sessions then go seperately to do the test or do you have to do training/test at the same time?

Hmm, yeah I'm quite sure you can, thats if I follow you correctly.

You can take individual lessons from schools and then book your test whenever you wish. You don't have to do a lessons then the test directly after them. Although it is highly advised you take a lesson or two BEFORE your test (one or 2 days before) so that you can iron out any imperfections in time.

Well if your over 21, you may as well go for the full thing, there isn't any difference on the test except that you do it on a 500cc (i.e. ER-5), instead of an 125cc. The training school I did my course, it was only £30 more expensive to do the test on the 500cc machine.

I found the ER-5 to be more stable at low speeds when doing the u-turn.

This will allow you to ride a full powered bike as well.

Haven't been for any training yet so I guess they would have told me I could do the direct access instead of a2, would be silly to do the a2 when I can do the direct access, roll on spring!
