Congrats on your first "big bike".

My only piece advice for the next 12 months is, don't drop your bike. It hurts your wallet lots and lots and lots.

Head down, arse in the air, a peaky high revving IL4, it's an almost completely opposite riding experience. Coming from upright bikes, I couldn't even get on with a relatively relaxed CBR600F, let alone a Ninja.

Get a bandity fazery type thing, Almost upright riding position, cheap compared to a harley. Performance varies from "will obilterate a harley without trying" (bandit 6) to "fast-as-fuck sportsbike without the contortion act (fz1)"

Try lots of bikes. Lots.

What i like about cruisers is they make 60mph feel like a speeding bullet chased by rob halford, and carrying any speed through a roundabout into peg-scraping mayhem. My 535 was a bit smoother than a harley, i could cruise at motorway speed, but it made slow feel fast and was fun to throw about. A lot of people here dont get that. I got me a sensible modernish bike now though.

I miss having my thighs and nads heated by rear cylinder and rear downpipe. inline 4s just dont keep you as warm.
