Noticed these haven't risen to crazy prices (like the DT125 for example), just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the two?

Aprilia MX is older, has the same engine as the RS125(?), seems to be quite highly regarded.

Aprilia SX came out after the emissions bollocks, not as powerful when derestricted, MCN don't seem to like them as much but it could just be one of their time of the month reviews.

Both are kickstart only Neutral

Not so sure how good the build quality is on them, and any late model RS125 engine issues and the later version SX? Having a bit less power and being strangled by the cat/fuelling will be the same.

They look quite good in terms of style and spec however, and both can be made to be properly full power if you change a few bits too.

I'm surprised that they are any cheaper than Yamaha DTX's or Husqvarna SM's for example as there are not many around, and like the others most were destroyed or blown up and bodged in no time, by clueless mongs!

Finding one in decent condition will be the first challenge, and stopping it getting nicked the second.

But I expect they are fun to ride like my KMX in a 100kg ish/20something bhp way.

I've been looking out for DTx's, they seem to be £1500+, the MX & SX seem to start closer to a grand, but they might just be rough bikes.

It's probably a bad idea but I wanna try a 2-stroke, and I miss having a light off road type bike. Also wondering if MX/SX's are a bit undervalued, making them a good purchase.
