Air filter plugged.
Jet in carb plugged (normally with a crusty stuff) or a simple bit of shite.
Fuel flow from tank to carb blocked. Tap, Hose, in-line filter if fitted.
ps. I never knowed they made a four cylinder CG125. ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |

Some info here.
https://www.gsparkplug.com/
You could have a root aboot here too.
There's a similarity between CG125s and early British Bikes as in their basics.

Couldn't be easier, it's right there between the engine and the airbox.
Google assures me that this is a CG125 carb:
https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/attachments/honda-bikes/1253935d1377680744-cg-125-euro-ii-2013-problem-murree-carb.jpg
It's not, it's a picture of the actual carb on my old HN125-8 copybike which has been blagged and tagged by Pakistanis. Actual FACT. Should be close enough though.
If you're spending a lot of time idling then you can try adjusting the mixture screw. Back it out to richen the mixture. However, if that's the result of running under throttle then I'd suspect the main jet, needle, and/or float height
Also, what's the heat rating on the plug? NGK D8EA would be typical. Has someone been trying to get clever? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

It's an 8 but I've ordered a 9 as per this chaps recommendations...
https://hondacg125.awardspace.com/spark_plug.htm
"You need a NGK DPR8EA-9 spark plug for normal riding and a NGK DPR9EA-9 for extended high speed riding,
The extended high speed riding spark plug is stated in the Honda CG125 Front Disc brake models Owner's Manual"
"I found that 54mph in 5th gear is high speed for the plug and results in power dropping off if left at that speed for 1/2 mile.
The power drop off (plug overheating), results in the bike dropping to 50mph against a very strong head wind,
if you slow down a lot the plug will recover.
I fitted the DPR9EA-9 plug and end of problem = no power drop off and the bikes about 5 mph faster"
I definitely found this on the 1hr jaunt back from Oxford. The throttle was pinned open almost the entire way home. The M40 made a man out of me ____________________ CBR600 F3 FV

Yup, I fitted a 9 to my HN when I took it on a tour. Worth a try. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I mustn't have looked hard enough last night, at the time I bought the .9 for £4.31 on Amazon Prime, the cheapest I'd seen the iridium was £14. I've just found it for £7 on Ebay
It's for my partners birthday, and it's her first bike so I want it tip top before she sees it
Did you use the 8 or 9 iridium on your CG? ____________________ CBR600 F3 FV
