Hi

Does anyone else has the same opinion and trouble as me ? Surely not ?!

Bike shoes/boots comes in unlimited style and shape. For the best ones, they usually comes up to the chins...waterproof, breathable etc etc.

Does anyone else have the same problem or is it me ? Do the manufacturer try the stuff on themselves ?

You have to gear up before you put your boot on right ? But they doesn't allow enough flexibility on the trousers to put on the boot !!! They have the zip to expand it...but still you have so much trouble getting it on. Then you got the boot having to go over your trousers.....they don't open enough to include your trousers. Is it me or does anyone else has the same issue ? What do you do ?

Because of this same issue with gloves, I've resorted to short gloves and ankles boots.....sucks

Your problem is either

a) Your trousers are too small

b) Your command on the English language is insufficient to explain to people what on earth you are on about

I just put my trousers (RST Alpha, II I think)) on roll/pull the bottoms up a little, put my boots on (RST Raptor) then put the trousers back down and do the zip on the trousers.

I think the trick is to be sitting down when your putting them on.
Also boots are a little stiff until you've worn them for a while.

Never had an issue. I wear SIDI sports boots with Kevlar jeans and they fit over perfectly.

If getting dressed is such a challenge it requires a thread I think your stay here is going to be a rather lengthy and tiresome one.

edit: don't ask. Mad Laughing

Ah, it's the "season".

Put your trousers over your boots.

Put your sleeves over your gloves.

Pas de problème.

How many CHINS do you have?

I suspect this could be one of the main reason you can't get your boots on. I have 2 and i struggle if i have just eaten Laughing Laughing

I was told during DAS from both the examiner and instructor that textiles go over the boots at all times and leathers inside. It become quite a theme and grew tiresome to the point it almost seemed like they where attempting to point and laugh using a phrase "you can spot a new rider miles off" with their reason being that rain water would collect inside the boots in wet weather. "Yeah mate" I through as I've get to go through this drama. Nod and smile boys, nod a

If your trousers really don't fit inside the boot then just ride with them over the boot at all times, I was cautious about this at first like "is my trouser going to faff around and get caught on a moving part in the wind or at any point" but it's really a non-issue to me. I've just always ridden with textiles inside the boot and so do that, period. If my trousers didn't fit inside I wouldn't go one size up in the boot just to make up for that because then I'd be buying the wrong size boot.

Any anyway I've done my prior two commutes with my new pair of SMX-1's and they're bloody brilliant so I really wouldn't complain about ankle boots vs full sized boots, forever and a year I've been saying my rear brakes this and that, I can't feel nothing because it's a drum brake blah blah, using the ankle boots provides so much feedback through the foot and feel that I've been able to gradually apply the brake and use it to stop at slow speeds of which is something I could never do or get the feel for in my full sized boots. I also like my thing vented gloves far better than my usual ones simply because even when I feel like a lemon and having a bit an "off" ride I still stay in control of the controls because of how much feel they give through the bars (a little off topic, I'll stop).

I wear kevlar jeans and short boots so never really had an issue, but every pair of gloves I've had can go over my jackert (admittedly with the same jacket).

Is that a rhetoric question?

wtf kind of logic dictates you put the trousers inside the boots? rain water, road sludge and small pixies would find their way onto the trousers and then have a route directly to your feet Confused Confused

if you're having trouble getting the gear on, its either due to you being a fat fker or you bought the wrong sized gear.. potentially both
