So to cut a long story short (since my detailed posting disappeared after I wrote it out an pressed send Rolling Eyes )...

Woman at my work arrives at the same time I do, she is on her mobile EVERY time. I see her arriving from on a nearby dual carriageway and she holds it to her ear from there all the way into reception. (We work in the same building but for different companies).

Today I had enough after seeing her doing it yet again and had a word in reception when she arrived, getting a "Hmph" in response and she walked away ignoring me.

What would you do? Bearing in mind the car park has CCTV. And would the police really bother doing anything if I reported it?

I'm looking forwards to seeing what she does the next time we arrive together now... Twisted Evil

I'd probably leave it as what other people do in their car is none of my beeswax.

If it ever came to it, I'd enjoy giving evidence though.

What would I do? Avoid being anywhere near her on the road and otherwise, get on with my life.

Get to work before her, wait for her to pull into car park, jump out in front of her (safely) and dramatically fall onto floor screaming with already applied special effects and fake blood Laughing

Or just walk into view with a POLITE vest on and when she finally realises it's not the real Police, tell her next time it will be Laughing

I'd worry about more pressing matters. Life's too short to get into petty arguments.

Oh but I enjoy the petty arguments, that's what life is all about!! Laughing

On the other side of the coin, I've had drivers pull out on me and friends before now because they've been phone fiddling. If I can make one person stop and use a handsfree kit instead, meaning they concentrate more on that bike coming up to the T junction they're about to turn out from - I'll be happy. Thumbs Up

If it was the odd occasion I would think differently and worry about more pressing matters... like informing the BMW drivers in my car park what those little yellow lights are for. Wink

Yes, so would we all, but that won't be the outcome. She'll just think all bikers are knobs, have a moan to her mates and crack on, because people like that naturally assume they are in the right about everything.

You could explain to her how speaker phone works.

You could put her phone number into millions of "call me back" forms. https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?q=call%20me%20back#newwindow=1&q=call+me+back

I'd have thought her boss is likely to be more interested than the police would be.

Tell her you have video footage from helmet cam of her committing the offence and suggest that if you see her do it again
it will miraculously end up in the hands of the police. This works better if you do have the footage and can be bothered
to get that involved. Otherwise burn her car and slay her family. Your choice.

The way i see it, any competent non fuckwit human should be able to operate a car and a phone at the same time, the vast majority of us managed it before the ban came in.
Idiots who crash while on the phone would probably still have crashed if they were on the phone or not, hardly the crime of the century, plus don't we all go on about how few kittehs are killed when we open the throttle Wink

Wait until a hot day when she has the side window open. Ride alongside, snatch her phone off her and throw it under the back wheels of her car.

Then fuck off for long enough for her to realise that however she phrases the complaint to the police, there is no way they wont ask how you were able to reach her mobile phone through the drivers window from a motorbike.

I know a London motorcycle courier who considers this just about the most entertaining thing you can do on a hot summers day when the yuppies are all going to work in their sports car with their roof down.
